Features

Isolates Medical Equipment on an Ethernet Network to Enhance Patient Safety
The N234-MI-KJ connects medical equipment to a non-medical appliance or system, such as a single computer or a local Ethernet network. It protects staff and patients from dangerous leakage currents that can travel through standard copper Ethernet cable without affecting the flow or speed of 10G data.

Ideal for Use in a Wide Range of Medical Applications
This medical-grade isolator keystone is recommended for interfacing between medical and non-medical equipment where no essential performance is required. The suitability of use and isolation shall be determined in the end use application and evaluation. It is also ideal for connecting a clinic or practice’s network to the PC of a prolonged EEG system or connecting an analysis computer to a doctor’s consulting room with an EMG measuring station.

Compatible with Standard Ethernet-Enabled Medical Equipment and Cabling
This medical-grade keystone isolator is compatible with hospital networks, diagnostic imaging systems, patient monitoring devices and clinical labs where Ethernet isolation ensures patient and equipment safety. It can also be used with network switches, servers and other IT infrastructure in healthcare facilities that require galvanic isolation between medical and non-medical networks. Its RJ45 ports connect to any standard Cat6 Ethernet cable.

Complies with IEC 60601-1 Standards for Use in Patient Care Vicinities
The N234-MI-KJ complies with IEC 60601-1 and EMC/IEC 60601-1-2 safety standards for a network connection between a medical device and an Ethernet network or non-medical device (PC or laptop). Because it meets IEC 60601-1 standards, this medical network isolator can be used in patient care vicinities. For example, you can use this 60601-1 network isolator in the connection between a clinic's network and the PC of a prolonged EEG system. Note: You can only connect network components that comply with IEEE 802.3 or IEEE 802.3ab. You cannot connect telecommunication appliances, voltage supplies or similar devices.

Easy to Install on an Ethernet Network
This Ethernet network isolator has two RJ45 ports and acts as a coupler, joining two tested and approved Cat6 cables to complete the connection between compatible medical equipment and a computer or data network in a patient care vicinity. Completely plug and play, this RJ45 isolator does not require any software or an external power supply.

Performance Requirements of Permanent Cables
This keystone isolator connects to permanently installed Ethernet cables and provides electrical isolation at the exit terminal. For Ethernet cable installation, including its network terminating isolator, to fully meet ISO 11801 Class EA or TIA/EIA 568 Cat6a access requirements, the cable itself must have certain conditions of performance.

TAA-Compliant for GSA Schedule Purchases
The N234-MI-KJ is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), which makes it eligible for GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.
